Basically, there's as much real science with Isla Grace turning into a fox as there is with Bruce Banner turning into the Hulk. It makes a little bit of sense if you keep things on a very very basic level - OK, so maybe it's a just bit more realistic than the Hulk.

Sorry it took so long to reply! The kids have appeared in some of the Fox Tails comics - exclusive to our Patrons. They'll also make a brief appearance later in this chapter. They'll have a slightly bigger role in the next chapter, as well.
