I just have to say, I love that you gave them three kids for your story. Specifically, with the Mother as the lead protagonist in the comic. Super Moms are a very rare thing in action stories, at least that I've encountered.
You can find no shortage of super Dads, where the wife and kids are kidnapped or killed, and Daddy needs to rescue them or get revenge. However, "Hey Dad, watch the kids tonight ... Mommy's got to save the world", is a scenario you almost never see
